F.A.Q

  • Q:
May I order a portable icon
    A:

There are two types of icons. Those intended for personal use and those donated to temples.

In the first case, it suffices to contact us or simply send us your order.

In the second case, you should contact the committee of the preferable church and they will carry us your order (assuming that we are the hagiographers of the related temple).

  • Q:
How long do you need in order to create an icon?
    A:

The time in art is undefined. There isn't a standardized, integrated or engineering production process, but it is original handmade creation.

No matter how many times you make a Saint, every time you have to start from scratch and follow all steps carefully and accurately. Moreover, because this is purely spiritual work with a dominant role of the senses, each time the artist is trying to overcome himself - as an athlete does in every race - slowly diversifying his job (i.e. spending more time on different things each time) . Also, we tend to take for granted the health of the artist. But when 100% of the work is done by hand, even an illness can be an obstacle to completion.

  • Q:
May anybody visit you at your place?
    A:

Yes, of course! Come to meet us and we can discuss any questions you may have about Byzantine Iconography. For your convenience and due to workload, we would appreciate if you could make an appointment before your visit.

  • Q:
I would like to make a donation of my Saint. At which church may I?
    A:

In Holy Temple of St Andrew and in H.T. of Holy Mary's Dormition Kypriadou there is empty space only for compositions. In H.T.of Saints Unmercenaries the sanctuary is the only place which isn't painted and at the Holy Church of Brigadiers and Kon/nou and Helen there are  many medallions of men and women available.
