Exterior view of the Holy Temple of Saint Andrew Ano Patissia.
Saint Andrew in Ano Patissia is a majestic modern church built cross-in-square. Its foundations were set in 1972 and hagiography work began in 1981 with the altar imagery and still continues to this day, given the magnitude of the project.
Externally, the church is clad in stone and marble.

The Τemple is very impressive and can be distinguished even from a distance. It conists the boundary between the City of Athens and the Municipality of Galatsi and it is surrounded by a square, a park and schools.
The dome
In August 2004, the dome was finally completed. The dome is 33 meters tall (* to understand the size, should we compare the dome to an apartment complex, the dome would be at the same height as the eighth floor) and takes up over 350 square meters. The composition of the dome consists of the Throne of The Second Coming, a zone of Angels with the Mother of God around God Almighty.

Below it and between the windows there is a second zone of Prophets. The size of God Almighty is about 4.5 meters, while the Prophets and Angels are over 3 meters tall. The composition ends with six-winged Seraphim and Evangelists on the triangular surfaces at the lowest areas of the dome.

Gynaeceum Facets
Extensive Murals are in the Gynaeceum Facets and in the space under it. Gynaeceum extends in the walls of the North, West and South side.

The facets in the West side are covered with Saints in medallions and extensive decoration inspired from the traditional arts.

The north and south sides of gynaeceum are covered with saints in medallions framed with decoration and flying angels under them in the triangular spaces. The composition with the angels is an original work designed specifically for this occasion.
