Saint Eugenia

St. Eugenia - Small portable image in private collection

The osio-martys Eugenia lived in Egypt at the end of the second AD century. She was dressed up to a male monk in order to cloister in a male priory of Alexandria, where he became abbot of the monastery. Her life was so modest and virtuous  until her martyrdom in Rome. The Grace of the Lord accompanied her in her whole life, during which she did wonders, resisted the temptations and taught many others of the truth of Christianity.
